InCircle Architecture

Christopher Epps is the principal architect of InCircle Architecture, a practice serving the South Carolina Lowcountry. Born and raised in the region, he brings direct knowledge of the construction environment, review processes, and practical constraints that shape projects in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Beaufort County, Jasper County, and surrounding communities. His daughter is the fifth generation of his family raised in the Lowcountry, and that sense of roots shapes how he works: he takes on clients for the long term, not just for a single project.

His work focuses on projects that are often difficult to define or permit: residential additions, major renovations, tenant upfits, adaptive reuse, historic properties, change-of-use projects, accessibility corrections, and coordination-intensive work involving multiple consultants and reviewing agencies.

Christopher’s background spans hands-on construction, architectural production, project management, teaching, digital modeling, GIS, Revit, and complex permitting. That range allows him to look beyond the drawing set and identify the decisions, dependencies, and field conditions that can delay a project.

Clients work directly with Christopher. He establishes scope, roles, consultant responsibilities, required approvals, and next steps early so the project can move forward with fewer surprises. His approach is direct, practical, and grounded in the responsibilities of the Architect of Record. The name InCircle reflects that outlook — his belief that focusing on people rather than the bottom line simply makes for better work. Once you’re in the circle, you’re family, and you’re only ever a phone call away.
